Trustee
A Trustee is appointed to manage and administer assets held in a trust for the benefit of its beneficiaries. Responsibilities may include managing financial accounts and property, paying expenses, making distributions, maintaining financial records, preparing accountings, coordinating tax matters, and communicating with beneficiaries and professional advisors.
The Trustee must follow the terms of the trust and exercise independent judgment in protecting and managing trust assets.
Personal Representative
Guardian
A Guardian is appointed by the court to make personal and healthcare decisions for an individual who is unable to make certain decisions independently. Responsibilities may include overseeing living arrangements, coordinating medical care and supportive services, making authorized healthcare decisions, and advocating for the individual’s health, safety, and well-being.
The Guardian works to protect the individual while promoting their preferences, dignity, and independence whenever possible.
Conservator
A Conservator is appointed by the court to manage and protect the finances and assets of an individual who is unable to effectively manage their own financial affairs.
Responsibilities may include managing income and financial accounts, paying expenses, establishing budgets, overseeing property and investments, coordinating tax matters, and preparing court-required financial reports and accountings.
Medical and Financial Agent Under Power of Attorney
An Agent under a Power of Attorney is privately appointed to make authorized financial and/or healthcare decisions on another person’s behalf. A Financial Agent may manage accounts, pay expenses, oversee property, and coordinate financial matters, while a Medical Agent may communicate with healthcare providers, participate in care planning, and make authorized healthcare decisions.
The Agent’s authority is determined by the applicable Power of Attorney document.

Administration requires careful consideration of the trust terms and, when applicable, the beneficiary’s eligibility for public benefits.

Contract Fiduciary Services provide experienced fiduciary and administrative support to licensed fiduciaries, fiduciary firms, attorneys, trustees, personal representatives, and other professionals.
Services may include trust and estate administration support, complex case management, financial review and reconciliation, asset marshalling, inventories, court accounting preparation, financial reporting, and other specialized fiduciary services based on the needs of each engagement.
